February Campaign Update:
- Funds & Pledges: $2.9 Million
- Matching Impact: $8.6 Million
- Total Progress: OVER $11.5 MILLION!

In 2022, DeMotte Christian Schools launched our first capital campaign, "Preparing Them to Walk in His Ways," to fund the expansion of our current Upper Campus. These efforts allowed us to add a Middle School wing with nine classrooms, including a science room, computer lab, Discovery Center, and new bathrooms. We were also able to build a west wing with a band/choir room, auxiliary gym, locker rooms, cafeteria, and Corporate Office with five offices and a conference room. Upon completion, grades six through eight were able to move from lower campus to upper campus, freeing space for the growth in our grade school.
With growth now moving up through grade levels and more families seeking quality Christian education, our current capital campaign, "Growing Forward," focuses on providing more spaces as a tool to continue to carry out Kingdom work. This includes the construction of a new high school with an emphasis on agriculture, vocational trades, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). Efforts from this campaign will also allow for the modernization of our existing grade school campus.

Facts and Questions
Why Now?
DMCS is experiencing a period of unprecedented success and growth, which now presents us with a critical opportunity and challenge.
- Significant Enrollment Growth: Over the last five years, our enrollment has soared by approximately 70%, bringing our student population to over 650 for the 2025-2026 school year.
- Capacity Reached: This trajectory is set to continue, with projections showing a steady 5-7% annual growth. Already, many of our lower and middle school grades are at maximum capacity with three sections each.
- Impending High School Constraint: As these larger cohorts advance, we face a space constraint in the high school. We will not have enough seats or classrooms to accommodate the projected enrollment.
- Urgent Need for Space: Based on a sustained 5-7% growth rate, we project that by 2028, DMCS will be short 50–70 seats and will need new dedicated learning spaces on our high school campus.
External Factors Driving Demand.
- Mission Fulfillment: Our consistently high student retention rates are a powerful testament to the quality of a DMCS education. However, this means fewer seats are available for new families. For the last several years, approximately 75% of all new students have been siblings of current students or children of alumni added to our student population.
- Increased Opportunity: The Choice Scholarship will become universal in 2026. All families will qualify for a tuition scholarship with no income limitations. The new facet of the Choice Scholarship is expected to increase demand for non-public schools throughout Indiana significantly and to increase interest in Christ-centered education like DMCS, further intensifying the need for immediate expansion.
To fulfill our mission and ensure that every family seeking a Christian education at DMCS has the opportunity to join our growing community, we need your help to secure the necessary space. We are seeking partners to join us at this crucial juncture in DMCS as we are Growing Forward, One Generation to the Next.
