DeMotte Christian Schools is looking for a qualified high school teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. This position will likely include teaching some English or Literature classes along with some other elective classes. There are many possibilities as our current staff is flexible to make room for a candidate with experience in different subject areas. Teachers at DMCGS work together to provide a sound, biblically-based education in all aspects of life for each student. Applicants can expect to work with their grade-level co-workers to plan and execute lessons, as well as with their division (3-5) for other items, such as chapels, recess, etc.

  • Possesses a strong love for children.
  • Agrees to educate his/her current and prospective children in a CSI Christian day school grade K-12. This requirement may be waived if the child(ren) has special education needs that cannot be provided by a local CSI Christian day school.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills.
  • Is a strong team player able to work well with co-workers.
  • Agrees to adhere to the Marriage and Sexuality Position Statement.

 

Education Requirements:

  • Candidates must have or be working toward an Elementary Education degree as well as an Indiana teaching certificate. 
  • Experience is preferred but not required.

The elementary music teacher will be responsible for music classes for grades K-4. Classes are half an hour in length for each homeroom. The elementary music teacher also prepares several performances during the school year, including Grandparents' Day (November), Christmas, and a spring program. The programs may be in conjunction with other music teachers at DMCS.

DeMotte Christian High School is looking for our next Varsity Volleyball Coach. Interested applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants should have a personal relationship with Christ and be able to lead others through words and actions.  The applicant should also be a member and regular attendee of a protestant church.
  • Experience coaching volleyball at the high school level is desired.
  • Have a vision for the volleyball program for continuous improvement of the athletes, both as volleyball players and as young women.
  • Focus on developing the students as Christian young women,
    extending past sports.
  • Focus on personal work ethic, abilities, and dedication, whether the best on the team or not.
  • Focus on opportunities for the team to be successful, whether that means going to State, winning a set number of games, or improving throughout the season.
