Beginning in 5th grade, students at DMCS have the opportunity to participate in beginner band and can advance through the 12th grade. Band students may also choose to compete in ISSMA if they desire.
CHOIR
Beginning in 6th grade and on through 12th grade, our goal is to equip students with the ability to praise God with the talents He has given them. Our students accomplish this by learning the difference between melody and harmony lines of music and by considering the lyrical content of songs to determine the composer’s message. During the course of the year, different music styles are incorporated into the song selection to give students a well-rounded music experience.
